Principles of YMCA Swimming & Diving Course

For the first time we will be offering this course at the New York State Y Championships March 14-16, 2008. Within the next 2 years it will be mandatory for all coaches at cluster , league regional, State and national meets to be on deck Starting in 2009 to be on deck a coach will be required to have taken this course. In the past there has been little or no opportunity for coaches not attending the Nationals to take this course. From now on it will be offered at the state meet, therefore every one can take it. The time will be 11:00 am Friday March 14 and guarantee it will end before warm ups for the Friday session.

Pre –registration will be necessary so we can have enough time to get the handouts prepared. The cost will be significantly lower than that at Nationals. Each participant will be required to purchase his/her own text book from the YMCA bookstore Phone 1-800-872-9622 . The text book is unchanged. It is "Principles of YMCA Competitive Swimming and Diving", second edition.
